My turn to place an urban micro. This is a quick in and out, snatch and grab, easy cache. Car required. Can park very close. Flip flops ok. For a fast lunch break and/or just sitting down and actually having lunch. Not a "lame?" magnetic key box under a guard rail style cache. Accessible 24/7 and if you can get there, roads / parking plowed..? snow not a problem. Note: this is most visited cache here in Connecticut !!
This, below....is old and original posting !!!! Cache container was an altoids can, now similar but larger...can.. ( unable to find a safe [muggles] place for larger container ) Please note : During heavy rainstorms, this cache gets soaked, thus, please double bag to keep log dry ! . Location is reasonably safe from most muggles view, however, do try and be discreet. While at location, if the building is open?...go in and get latest CT map and a good bicycling map also available. General hints: cache is not in a tree or in the stone wall. Some cachers dont read !!!! They have "messed" up the stone wall..!!! RE_ READ THIS AGAIN General hints: cache is NOT in a tree or in the stone wall. If you are also into letterboxing? there are actually 4 of them in this rest area..one real close to this cache!..at base of tree on left...at bottom of stone wall next to this cache.not even 20 feet away?
there are also a bunch of MUNZEE's at this rest area...
actually..there are TWO cache containers under the picknick table..!! the rusty can was/is original [ placed under western narrow gap end of table ] ...and the pill bottle is a /the RESERVE one...!!! and usually under eastern larger gap end of table.
some time back..the person finding rusty can/tin placed it under the rocks behind the tree..and the next cacher..not finding it..placed a new pill bottle..!! 02/10/2023

[ Cache IS real easy to get at going east wards..coming in from New York... a bit hard to get at if going westward on I 84...and if doing that.. Recommend looking at google earth map, satelite pix.etc ...in order to plot route! ]
