When I heard about this tree, I just had to see it for myself. Having never been to California, I could only imagine seeing one in person. But here is your chance to see *and touch* one for yourself.
Redwoods are exceedingly rare outside of their normal habitat on the west coast. We are indeed fortunate to have one so close by that we can observe.

You will be able to touch the tremendous trunk of this magnificent tree.
According to the homeowner, this tree has been here more than 60 years. It used to be MUCH taller, in fact, when it was topped out several years ago, it was measured at 98 feet tall (the tree has been hit by lightning, and has dropped several large limbs that endangered the nearby houses). The trunk actually splits into two some distance up the trunk. Please note the beautiful reddish hue of the bark. Also take note of the very tiny cones on its limbs.
IN THE INTEREST of not bothering the neighborhood's peace and quiet, I have included a SPOILER PHOTO of the CACHE LOCATION
You are searching for a clear, plastic jar with a Red top. It is located at the base of the tree, on the sidewalk side, just behind two 'sprouts' that have shot up.
