Geocache Description:

No visit to the Copper Triangle is complete without a stroll along at least one of the many beaches. With several other trickier caches nearby, we thought a nice easy traditional was just what this area needed.

There is a weather station located nearby atop an impressive tower that looks like it could withstand a cyclone. This area is also known as Bird Islands conservation Park, although we have not been able to find much info about it. Please drive respectfully on the beach and surrounding tracks. Drive west-ish all the way to the beach, keeping the tower to your right, before turning north-west.

The cache is a round 1250ml clip lock container painted black containing log book and pen as well as some swaps. We were lucky enough to be able to drive the 2WD Hilux right up to the cache when placing, but this may become difficult or even impossible after heavy rain or freak tides. Drive to the cache at your own risk, and if in doubt, then you should make this a walk-by.
