Geocache Description:

Original Cache Description
The Isles of Scilly lie 28 miles SW off Lands End in the UK. Known as the Fortunate Isles they are a wonderful group of islands to both live in and to visit. If you like peace and quiet this is the place to be. Total population is around 2000 and the main industry is growing daffodils & narcissi and tourism.

The cache is located at Pulpit Rock on Penninis Head on the southern end of the main island, St Mary's. There are a few way to approach the cache and all are a fairly easy walk from anywhere on the island. Once you reach Pulpit Rock the cache is under a rock in a clear plastic lunch box with a purple lid. Inside are a few goodies relating to the island. Guess how many rocks there are? Happy searching.

This cache was adopted by heartradio, who finds it very satisfying to own a cache that's a year older than him, and pljg, whose extended family are on the islands for up to 6 months of the year (lucky them!), in January 2016. Heartradio is on the islands for at least 2 weeks a year and will check on the cache then. Pljg's extended family will carry out most of the maintenance. The cache is now a regular-sized tupperware box.

As of January 2016, this is the UK's 16th Oldest active cache and England's 12th Oldest active cache according to this bookmark list.
