There are many of us who would love to write a scathing log for one reason or another, but are just too polite and sensitive to do it! Well, this is your chance. In fact, TO LOG THIS CACHE YOU MUST TRASH IT even if it is not the truth. Only you will know if you are crying wolf or not!
You can park close to the cache site, but the micro is located on top of Wilton Mountain at an elevation that makes breathing very difficult. I know you are looking at the one and one-half star rating. Well, keep in mind that I am extremely fit. I work out at the gym six days a week for three hours a day.
I recommend taking a two-way radio and supplies with you just in case you get stuck on the trail. The weather can change in seconds, and cell phones seldom work in this area. If you do not have a walkie-talkie, leave a note on your windshield so others will know that you are on the mountain. Yes, the “less than one hour to complete” icon is being used, the difficulty rating is only a two and it is suitable for kids. I do not have to remind you of my “kid like” physique, but you may not realize that I can spot a micro a mile away. I have been asked on many occasions if the Six Million Dollar Man (do you remember that show?) was modeled after me.
In closing, there is nothing to write with in the cache, and there is no FTF prize! You will have the honor of being the first to vent, however. Beware! Several bears, wolves, spiders, and rattlers have been spotted on the way up! Well, that’s what I have been told by the hikers who actually made it down! Good luck!
