Geocache Description:

Part of the Solution Not the Pollution

There is NO Cache at these coordinates it is a puzzle to be solved and located.

The purpose of the puzzle cache is to not only promote
the CITO spirit but to remind people that recycling is even more important. It is named after a slogan I saw on the subway. What is the point of tossing out the trash just so it can be moved to another spot of land? Everyday millions of people toss reusable items away, so much that some local governments have designed laws mandating specific reusable goods be recycled. NYC has followed suit and has a recycling mandate but too often the law is not enforced. If you care to see a list of what to recycle please check out this link, (visit link) ***Updated Link*** Apparently the website the puzzle was originally created from was changed. The link now allows the puzzle to be solved again.

Just about anything can be reused or recycled these days. Say your one of the lucky ones in the city and your dishwasher breaks and it is time for a new one, well instead of taking it to the dump the city will recycle it for you. Because of the danger to garbage handlers and our environment you cannot throw away batteries nor can you toss them in your everyday recycling bin although there are special places you can take them to be disposed of properly. If you are not the type to use your shoe boxes to store stuff they too can be recycled. All your rinsed plastic soda bottles along with glass spaghetti jars are easy to remember recyclables but did you think about recycling your old phone books. There is no need to rinse your used water bottles but please toss them in a recycling bin.

When it is time for your kids birthdays' you can reuse old
newspapers to wrap their gifts if you do not have any wrapping paper. When you go to the grocery store it is best to use a cloth bag that can be used over and over again but if you do not have any, then paper bags should be recycled when you get home. Old soft covered books can be recycled but donating them to a local library is a better option. After a night out at a fine restaurant,
your aluminum foil doggy bags should be recycled. Please do not buy any Styrofoam products they are bad for our environment because they cannot be disposed of nor do they decompose. We all have hundreds of wire hangers in our closets but if you dispose of them please recycle them; some cleaners will even buy them back for a dime.

In the spirit of keeping our planet clean the FTF prize for this Central Park puzzle cache are some CITO rewards. My coordinates were averaged over ten minutes but once you get to the location there are just a few good hiding spots.

FTF PRIZE- IF YOU ARE THE FIRST ONE TO SOLVE AND FIND PLEASE TAKE THESE GIFTS. THERE IS A CITO PIN, KEYCHAIN, GEO CACHING HAT, AND A CITO GARBAGE BAG. IF YOU TAKE THE GIFTS PLEASE FILL THE TRASH BAG AND RECYCLE ACCORDINGLY.

Congrats Addisonbr for the ftf.
