Many people have found their way into the Guinness Book of Records
by being the youngest, the tallest, the best, the most, the
strangest, etc. Now here is an opportunity for you to get into the
more prestigious "CACHING BOOK OF RECORDS".
To get into the Caching Book of Records, you must first find the
cache (small container) and sign the log. Then you must state in
your log why you deserve to be in the "Caching Book Of Records"
(your name will appear below). Your record must be associated with
this cache only, and something that is legitimate (a proven fact).
If you are the oldest or tallest, you must state your age or
height. If your record is something that is visual such as wearing
the biggest hat, you must support it with a picture. You can break
another cacher's record and have their name removed (their log will
still stay, but their name will be removed below ). The cache is
located in Westport's Eno Preserve. Access to the preserve is via
the Saugatuck Railroad Station parking lot on the west side of
Saugatuck Avenue, just south of the Connecticut Turnpike (41
07.023W, 73 22.618W). The lot is for permit and paid parking only.
However, I was told by a parking attendant that you can park close
to the trail head and leave a note in you car indicating that you
are walking in the Eno Preserve. Just south of the trailhead at 228
Saugatuck Avenue is a parking lot for an office building. If you
decide to use this lot, park at the rear and walk across to the
station's parking lot. Parking is also available at the Saugatuck
Post Office on Frankin Street (park adjacent to the railroad
station). FTF is a $3 lottery ticket. DON'T FORGET, YOU MUST STATE
WHY YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO BE IN THE "CACHING BOOK OF RECORDS". Good
Luck!
