Geocache Description:

Explore this under-used part of the Bartlett Arboretum. Sturdy shoes recommended to get to the cache. Not recommended for toddlers; some agility required to get to the stash.

Dr. Francis Bartlett was a noted tree expert, and Stamford is lucky to have this 64 acre preserve available for hiking, botany classes, music series in the summer and many other activities.

Although there is a sign at the gate indicating an admission fee, as of early April 2008 the Arboretum had not started collecting it (but has firm plans to do so this spring).

Come enjoy this cache - far from the others - and don't miss the hiking trails across the parking lot. Keep an eye out for the most gorgeous dragonflies in the summer. Dogs welcome!
