Geocache Description:

Lenoir Preserve is a 40-acre Nature Preserve overlooking the Hudson River in Yonkers.

The property was formerly home to two estates built in the 1800's and is now a virtual paradise for bird watchers. Every Fall, the preserve provides a good view of the Hawk migration as well as many other species. There is a butterfly and hummingbird garden maintained by the Hudson River Audubon Society and a Nature Center with some interesting exibits. Lenoir Preserve is a great place to explore.

The parking lot is located on Dudley Street at the posted coordinates and is the only approved parking for the preserve. Lenoir is open from dawn to dusk.
