During the American Revolution, the fort near here served to guard one of the back doors to the defence system at West Point. This post was to guard the Old Albany Post Road, which still exists in it's original route here. You can park at the corner of Albany Post and Chapman Roads (41 22.729 73 53.738)for a short, steep approach.
The cache is in a clear tupperware container and has an Ace Bandage, a poncho, a stuffed dog and a plastic lizard.
