Merestead Vista Traditional Geocache

The cache is located in Merestead Park, a new Westchester County park and offers an easy walk to a wonderful field and vista.
Park at the Old Carriage House on Byram Lake Rd.(41 10.583' 73 42. 269') and cross the road and head up the drive towards the house. The estate was donated for the use and enjoyment of the public and the grounds are all open. The hours are 9 to 4. A mowed path leads right to the cache. The cache is a small tupperware container, so don't bring anything big. It is also in an exposed location, so use discretion when hunting for it and rehide it carefully. It is possble to walk northeast across the fields and into the Butler Sanctuary, a Nature Conservancy Preserve.
