Geocache Description:

Route

A 13 cache (plus 6 bonus caches) series on a walk between the villages of Freeland to Hanborough taking in two lovely forests, a river and a former quarry. This is sadly not a circular geocaching route, although you can walk back from Hanborough on the pavement on Witney Road (A4095). The complete walk is about 3.5 to 4 miles (excluding bonus caches) and there is enough in the local landscape to keep the kids going!

The walk can be muddy in places, particularly along the bank of the River Evenlode from #04 to #06 and #10 and #12, and may be unpassable when the river is in flood. The paths are uneven in places, particularly along the river making it difficult for buggies, and there are some hills to be negotiated..

Parking

You can either park on Wroslyn Road, Millwood End or a small car park on Riely Close, waypoints on nearest caches to parking.

Bonus Caches!

There are some bonus caches taking you off of the circuit! two are reachable from cache #04 and not too far, and four on (or near) a path between #07 and #01 which can be used to shorten the circuit.
