a safe place to swim, with much more spectacular cascades and falls upstream...
here's somewhere safe for the kids, a nice peacefull freshwater stream that's not deep or strong, the cache is right nearby the "car park/road edge alcove" and shouldnt be hard to find...
[update] ive had several reports reports of poor cache condition, generally wetness... i learn the hard way thatcheap plastic containers dont seal, so i will replace it with metal one, but not for several months as away from area. others are invited to do this if they please.

while in the area you must check out "crystal cascades" further (several kms) up stream/road at:

E: 145°40.797'
(though gps signal is weak here)
from this spot (crystal cascades carpark) you can follow either of two walking trails... the main marked bitumen one has easy access to several great swimming holes at different holes along the cascades with it getting more magical the further up you walk
or for the more adventurous and romantic find the track that leaves the carpark from the higher corner, through the rainforest to the base a large waterfall that has a beut' swimming hole at it's base, just be carefull of the potentially slippery rocks
