This series was created for two reasons:
1) After returning home from a cache earlier today, I noticed a deer tic on my son. My smarter half said, "why aren't there more caches which do not require you to go into the woods?" My reply... "because not too many people have hidden them in this area"... Her reply ( you will see why she is the smarter half )..."Then why don't WE do it and maybe others who don't want to drag their kids into the woods will follow!"
2) We wanted to have places in the area where people could go all year, even in the snow.
This is the first of what we hope to be MANY in the OUT OF THE WOODS series. We plan to combine small caches and lots of micros. All which allow people to hunt for a cache and not fear the deer tic.
You will want to park in a marked spot and walk the final few hundred feet. This will help prevent muggling eyes as this can be a very busy area.
The cache is a small plastic container.
