Geocache Description:

An urban nano cache, hidden near an intersection that is busy at nearly all times of day. Use stealth, and be sure to bring a pen.

On the northwest corner of 14th Street and Fifth Avenue sits 90 Fifth Ave, an 11-floor building constructed in 1902 by Buchman and Fox. It's currently home to a bank and a couple of news organizations.

Before the current building was erected, the corner was home to the armory of the Old Guard of the City of New York, an independent military organization descended from the first fully equipped and uniformed unit of the New York State Militia.

The Old Guard's membership was composed of U.S. Army veterans, and these former soldiers would carry out ceremonial duties around the city.
