Welcome to Bald Mountain Recreation Area. This Rec Area consists of 4,637 rolling acres with trails, lakes, cabins & a shooting range in a hilly, wooded setting. A State of Michigan Recreation Passport is required at all parking areas within the park (including the road-side parking areas).
Hunting is allowed in most areas of the park, so please be aware of your location in the park and wear brightly colored clothing during hunting season.
The trail is open during posted park hours; 8 a.m. to dusk. Search only during open hours. In the winter, the main entrance off M-24 (Lapeer Road) is closed. You may enter the park off Greenshield Road.
This geocache was hidden with permission from the Park Supervisor for the 2016 CITO Event. Park in the designated parking lots. Most of the caches for this event are placed within a short distance of the trail and should require little bushwhacking unless noted. Please use care to leave as little impact on the vegetation as possible.
