Geocache Description:

Targetted for Red Sox or Yankees fans, this is a neat short walk along (and under) the Anne Hutchinson River Parkway. Goes by a manmade waterfall.

This cache highlights the rivalry between Red Sox and Yankees fans that has existed over the last 85 years dating back to Babe Ruth's sale to the Yankees. It is being launched as the two teams meet for a critical late summer series by some Sox fans living outside of NYC. Contents include various current Red Sox and Yankees baseball cards, two logbooks (on for Sox fans, on for Yankees fans). We are hoping that visitors will bring a player from their preferred team and take an opposing player with them. Cache is a small 'disposable' tupperware box. To get there get off of exit 18W (southbound) or 17 (northbound) and head into Eastchester. Park near N40 56.797 and W073 48.334 and from there the hike is about 1/3 of a mile. This is a nice short walk for families with kids, although trail can become muddy when it rains. Lots of horsebacking on the trails as well.Come on you Red Sox fans! Show your support!
