Here you are close beside Branton Hill Lane Quarry Landfill site. It is a shame that there is some impact here that detracts from the lovely area, but perhaps not as bad as at many such sites around the country. This is currently an operational quarry for the extraction of sand and as an inert landfill site. The site has operated as a sand quarry and for inert landfill since the 1950’s.
