Created in 2001 by Joe and Barbara Mahan and friends, this lovely but hidden-away corner of Red Geary Park honors September 11 tragedy victims, first responders who have died in the line of duty, and an honor roll of local military heroes from past wars. As the years pass, these saplings will grow large in this quiet protected space.
