Geocache Description:

Welcome to Rockwood Hall! This cache is near the trail head so as to get you to start on the awesome trail loop that's open dawn to dusk for you to enjoy.

Part of the Rockefeller State Park Preserve and once home to William Rockefeller in the 1800's, this park has amazing views of the Hudson and the bridge, awesome trees and beautiful grounds. A fairly flat and level walk, this cache gets you in the vicinty of starting your loop. A favorite spot for lunch time and after work visitors, you're bound to run into others while walking. Cache itself is a small tupperware to log in, placed with permission of the NY State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (permit # 11/2). You really don't need to take your camera out of your pocket till after you find the cache here, but have it ready!
