An easy find on the North County Trailway.
If you’re anything like me, after days of scaling cliffs,
bushwacking through poison ivy, and finding yourself knee-deep in
swamps, you’re ready for an easy smiley. If you’re to
that point, this cache is for you! It’s a little more than a
park-and-grab, but just a little! The cache is a 35 mm film
canister with log only. Bring your own writing implement. The cache
is located along a popular bike trail along Route 6 in Mahopac.
There is ample parking all along the trail and Route 6. I’ve
rated the cache as a 1/1, but if anyone thinks the location is not
wheelchair-accessible, let me know, and I’ll change the
terrain rating to a 1.5. If you’re lucky, on a Tuesday
evening, you may see a woman walking a gorgeous German Shepherd
with a pink leash and collar. That would be Mac and Freya the
Geopup. If you see us, say “Hi!” Congratulations to Old Bet on the FTF!
