Geocache Description:

Part of a challenging ride from the Mt Clear camp ground to Caloola Farm. 33 km in all if you decide to do them in one go. This cache is the easiest of the series.

Some say that Dinosaurs once roamed the Naas River Valley. I was out this way geocaching in April and on one of my many trudges up hills, pushing my bike, I was stuck by the resemblance of this excellent rock to the head of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

It was this cache that inspired this series.

As you can see from the photo above getting too close can be dangerous! They say that the best approach is from behind.

Just over 6km from the Mt Clear camp ground car park, this cache is quite close to Demandering Hut, featured in mtbikeroz's cache Forgotten Summit.

To do the whole series leave one car at Caloola Farm and then set off from Mt Clear camp ground.
It took us 8.5 hours, including the Max and Bert cache.

Thanks to mtbikeroz for accompanying me on this cache laying expedition.

FTF goes to ZsaZsa7, McPhan and Mrs Winglen
