Geocache Description:

3rd of a 3 cache series in Rosa Hartman Park. Complete all 3 and learn the coordinates for a BONUS 4th cache. An easy on-off from 95.

This cache is too small for anything other than a log and two small pencils - so no trades here. If you have got this far, you will be able to put the trades in the bonus as that is an ammo can.

Beware of ticks, muggles, poison ivy and other fun distractions...

Regarding the BONUS:
Inside this cache you will find a number - keep a record, and refer to the bonus cache page.

This series is intended to be performed in the numbered order.

Accuracy of 20 feet WAAS enabled. Have Fun!

Rosa Hartman Park borders Laddins Rock Sanctuary in Greenwich.

History:
1956 -- the park land was deeded to the city of Stamford by Jesse Hartman, an executive with the First Stanford Corporation. The park is named for his wife.

1980s -- the city decided to close the park. The park morphed into an illegal dumping ground and enclave for homeless people.

1998 -- the city put the park on the bidder's list after declaring the park underutilized.

The Stamford Golf Centre decided to privatize the site. They planned a sports center with restaurant on the site. Thankfully, Greenwich fought the plan (much of this park is wetland). I can't seem to find any more on what has happened, but the park is still there, it is open and has a nice couple of trails in it.

I figured that while we wait for the legal folk to figure this thing out it would make a great location for a series of caches. Enjoy!
