A Plea On Behalf Of Lonely Caches
At this moment, maybe in your neighborhood, there are caches that are lonely and neglected. They suffer alone, waiting for someone to come and log a smiley. Say you'll be the answer to a lonely cache that is suffering right now! Please... Complete this challenge! For just a little extra effort, you could rescue caches from loneliness, provide care and needs maintenance logs where needed, and put smiles on the faces of both you and lonely cache owners. This is your chance to say, "I won't sit idle while a lonely cache suffers!" Please find a lonely cache and log it online now!
Challenge Requirements
To complete this challenge you must collect 100 points by finding lonely caches. Points are awarded as follows:
Each cache with no finds for 3 months = 5 points
Each cache with no finds for 6 months = 10 points
Each cache with no finds for 9 months = 15 points
Each cache with no finds for 12 months or more = 20 points
BONUS! If you pick up a TB or coin which has languished for at least 3 months in a lonely cache you find for this challenge, you may collect 5 more points! That's 5 points for each traveler!! To claim bonus points, you must name the traveler(s) you picked up in your online log for the cache.
For the purpose of this challenge, a lonely cache is one that has not been found in 3 months or more. Months will be determined by the calendar (i.e. January 2 to April 2 = 3 months despite February being a short month). All caches must be found after the date this cache was published (4/28/11). Caches must not be archived at the time that you make the find. Please, no double dipping or revisiting caches for this challenge. You may count lonely caches that you find anywhere in the world, but they must be listed on Geocaching.com.

Thanks go to Lucky46 who put out Lucky46's 100 Points of Lonely Caches Challenge on which I based this challenge cache. Also, thanks to GadgetCHC who found one of my lonely caches and introduced me to Lucky46's challenge. I had fun and adventure fulfilling his challenge. I hope that you will have similarly good experiences as you fulfill mine.
In answer to a few people asking about counting group finds: Yes! Everyone in the group may count the lonely cache find. Not only that, anyone finding the lonely cache on the same day that it becomes no longer lonely may count that cache for this challenge.
*** Please take note *** On 8/27/11, the description of what constitutes a month was changed in an effort to make it more clear. If you are still unsure, please contact me for further clarification.
