Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache located on the guard rail on S-Hill Rd.

This is a nice old building in Tomkins Cove that was built by Calvin Tomkins in the 1840's. It was donated to the members of the community immediately upon it's completion as the "Tomkins Cove Social Club". It was a place for the local residents to hold many parties and functions including weddings. The Charles R. Lewis VFW post aquired the building shortly after WWII as a place to hold thier meetings. They have owned it and maintained it ever since. Enjoy the architecture and historical signifigance.
