Geocache Description:

In the middle of mid-town Manhattan, an unofficial monument to all true New Yorkers stands.

During the 1930s, New York City Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia said that Patience and Fortitude were the qualities he felt New Yorkers would need to survive the economic depression. Two unofficial symbols of these qualities were adopted by Mayor Laguardia, and long time New Yorkers continue to use these names here.

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.

Go to the listed coordinates, but do not let signal bounce lead you into the middle of the streets
--Stay safely on the sidewalks--.

Nearby you will find Patience and Fortitude. They are in 2 different locations, exactly 100 feet apart, and can be seen from the listed coordinates. If they do not leap out at you, there are several excellent reference sources nearby. Or you could just ask any nearby New Yorker.
The cache is 175 feet from Patience, and 275 feet from Fortitude.
