CITO 2026 : Season 1
Attend a CITO between 1st March - 31st May to gain the souvenir
🌿 PATH TRIMMING AT GREEN LANE RESERVE 🌿
The ranger and myself will be on site for the 3 hour duration of this CITO event
however please feel free to turn up whenever is convenient and just stay as long as you wish - all help is welcome.
Parking: There is some on-street parking on Laxton Road (see parking waypoint) or in many of the other side streets nearby.
Where: We will meet up at 09:30 at the start of the path that leads to Green Lane Reserve (see waypoint); or if arriving later, head to the CITO coords and find us working in the Reserve.
What: We will be lightly trimming back bramble and other vegetation that is starting to encroach on the footpaths around the Reserve, taking care not to disturb any nesting birds.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. Please bring work gloves if possible, and if you wish to use your own tools (secateurs, shears, loppers) then please bring them along. Don't worry if you don't have tools as the Ranger will have a supply.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
We will have a tea break mid-session so you may like to bring a drink/snack. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
