Geocache Description:

Listed coordinates are for the "Scholars' Gate." One of 20 gated entrances to Central Park. Each gate was named by Olmsted and Vaux, the park's designers, for the type of person they anticipated entering the park from that area. The cache is not there, but is a short walk away.

To find the actual cache, you will need to solve the puzzle below.

The puzzle might seem impossible, but it won't take an act of Congress to solve it, simply do as other Scholars do.

The cache is very well hidden, and will require some effort and stealth to retrieve. It is a bison tube.

Congratulations to ruthny for the FTF!

I am very proud to say that this cache won the Metro New York Geocaching Society award for "Most Satisfying Puzzle 2008"
