Hello, my name is Samboo Bear. I love picnics, and adventures in the outdoors which is why I like geocaching. There are literally hundreds of geocaching adventures to be had in this area of the Tweed, and millions of geocaching adventures world wide.
I recently visited this park with my friends, Suzy and Pete, and saw the sign in the playground titled, "51 Things to Do Before You're 12". Number 6 was "Find a geocache in your neighbourhood". I thought the playground was pretty cool with things you could swing on, and things that you could make music on, and an awesome looking flying fox, but this neighbourhood did not have a geocache, so I decided to make one and hide it near the playground.
Some tips for finding my geocache
- Its not in the playground but it is nearby in the park.
- You might need an adult or bigger person help you get it from where its hiding.
- You'll have to be sneaky when you go to find it and put it back. Put some leaves and stuff on top to help hide it.
- The prizes in the container are 'swaps', if you take something, you should put something in to replace it. Something nice, not rocks or bottle tops, or rubbish.
- Don't leave lollies or chocolate in the container. Ants like lollies and chocolate, I like lollies and chocolate, but I don't like ants.
- If you don't have something to leave, take a sticker from the little bag at the bottom instead. Please - one sticker per person, so everyone can have one.
- Write your name and the date in the logbook to say you found it.
- Tell me about your adventures today when you log your find on the geocaching app or on the website. I love hearing about other people's adventures.
