Multi cache with 4 points.
Iszkaszentgyörgy is a village a couple of km-s away from Székesfehérvár, at the Eastern end of Bakony Mountain. There were 3 separate villages in this area in the last centuries: Iszka, Atya and Szentgyörgy. In the 18th century German families were moved there, they formed a separate street. The main sight of the village is the Amade-, Anyos-, Bajzáth-, Pappenheim castle, which is owned by the state now. The renovated baroque part is empty -events are made here-, in the other part is the primary school and the local government.
The park of the castle could ever be nice but now you can only see some spoors of the former garden. It also harmed to the garden that it was a military practice place.
Those arriving by cars can drive into the courtyard of the mansion at the N47° 14,285' E018° 17,720'
coordinates.
The red tourist route, which leads through the forest and ends in Várpalota, starts out from here,
around the basketball court. Besides the route is near the starting point of the cache set.
The starting point of this multi cache can be read on the heading, and you have to find 3 more
stages to carry out this cache.
The features of each point:
1. point:
Look for a half-a-litre plastic bottle at the bottom of a tree. The tree is not standing in a forest, so
it is easy to find it. The bottle is fixed to the three with a wire, in this way it is even easier to
find.
When hiding it again, please do it carefully!
You get a beautiful view in the direction of Fehérvár and Sárrét.
2. point:
Look for a metal pole, which I have writen one part of the password and the coordinates of the next
point on. Not far from the pole on the ground I have put the signs again on a cocrete block (which
is point of reference). Nice view of Móri-árok (Móri-ditch) in the direction of Csókako.
3. point:
"Geocache are everywhere, in the grass, in the tree". It's not on the ground level where you have
to look for the half-a-litre bottle. For the sake of shorter people I have put the coordinates and the next
part of the password on a potsherd at the bottom of a tree. (You can use this one even if the spot is busier.)
Sights: the mansion. Altrough it needs renovation, it is worth going and looking around as it has
interesting parts.
4. point:
Cache at the bottom of the wall. Logbook, presents, etc.
Help: look for the green line (tourist route) as a sign, that takes you there.
I don't write about this place now, but if you are interested, I can send it to you by e-mail.
Furter points:
The coordinates of a popular destination, whitch is a stone table are N47° 14,211' E018° 17,103'.
People from the neighborhood often have a picnic here.
The coordinates of an interesting "cedar tree" are N47° 14,237' E018° 17,266'.
To tell the truth it isn't a really a cedar tree, but a pine tree, which the wind has formed into
an unusual shape. From near this point you can have a beautiful view of the mansion.
The cache is rather small, only containing 1 litre. It is a plastic box with blue lid and date display.
Bear it in mind that it isn't wider tahn 10 cm-s.
