Temple ruin without any path.
Middle-south of Hungary, on the road N.65, between Tamasi and Hogyesz, at the 35-36 km point you can already see the Temple ruin of Somoly. The tower that remained of the Temple of the one-time village Somoly can be found on the confines of the village Regoly. The ancient owner of Somoly was the palatine Kont Miklos, then Ozorai Pipo, who donated it to the chapter of Fehervar. After the Turkish occupation the village wasn’t resettled. In 1960, Meszaros Gyula was carrying out some excavations, then the tower was statically strengthened. Other excavations were carried out recently, by the colleagues of Wosinsky Mor Museum (Szekszard). So we knew that the Temple had a 17 m long nave which made it a significant Temple of the age. K.Nemeth Andras, publisher of the excavation results is of opinion that the Temple was built at the end of 15th century.
That's all the information I could get from the ruin which enchanted me while travelling on the road. We were informed by the men working on the fields that there isn't any path to the ruin, so, let'go across the field! On your way, little brook, reeds and another fieldland.
The cache is 20 m away from the tower, in the nothern-east direction, under a bush.
If you have a metal-detector, may be you can find old coins as well....
