This is my first cache. I have chosen to use the dolman as i find this period of history fascinating. A dolman is a Neolithic passage grave dateing to around 4000 bc. Jersey has 12 dolmans and this is my favourite. I just want to share this wonder with everyone.
Once at the dolman you will need to answer the following questions to gain the location of the final cache. you will need to bring a pen to sign the log book.
A) The cap stone (stone on top of the chamber) touches how many stones underneath it?
B) How many stones that the cap stone is covering is it not touching?
C) How many stones are there along the right hand side of the entrance passage as you are looking at the chamber?
D) How many large stones are on the left hand side of the entrance passage as you look at the chamber?
E) How many stones make up the chamber?
Please go the notice board at n49 12.216 w 002 01.584 to answer the last 3 questions.
F) What is the weight of the cap stone?
G) How many times has the dolman been excavated?
H) How many stone axes were found during the excervations?
