This is a roadside cache looking across the salt pan called O Reily's. Since mining laws changed mining of salt has stopped but the pan still show the markings of what used to be.
The sign shows the distance to the next town. Stand on a car bumper or a bakkie and stretch for the right hand corner at the back.
