El Mercadillo hippy de Punta Arabí, en Es Canar, es el de mayores dimensiones de Ibiza y todos los miércoles del verano concentra a miles de viajeros que hacen turismo por la isla. Sus más de 400 puestos ofrecen artesanía, moda Adlib, ropa de distintos estilos, zapatos, recuerdos originales, música y otros muchos artículos.
El mercadillo está distribuido por las calles de la urbanización Club Punta Arabí. Hay varios restaurantes y una carpa central donde, a partir de las 14,30 y hasta las 18 horas, se celebran conciertos en vivo.
También encontrarán músicos callejeros, estatuas humanas, tarotistas… Incluso hay una guardería donde dejar a los niños,
La tradición de este mercadillo arranca en los años 70, cuando el lugar no era más que un descampado, con un pequeño bar donde se reunían algunoshippies de la isla para ofrecer su género a los turistas. Con los años, el lugar fue urbanizado, pero la tradición del mercadillo siguió viva, incorporándose nuevos vendedores hasta alcanzar las dimensiones que posee hoy en día.
A pocos metros del mercadillo hay una playa muy agradable, Cala Martina, donde refrescarse tras recorrer los puestos, y otro pequeño rincón de costa rocosa más solitario.

The hippy market of Punta Arabi in Es Canar, is the largest of Ibiza and every Wednesday summer concentrated thousands of travelers that make touring the island.
