This cache is a small plastic container with clip-locks at each edge. It contains a geocaching declaration in both Greek and English and a small logbook. Please bring your own pen or pencil for signing. There is space in the container for some small trading items and trackables; at the time of placing the cache contains a complex origami model for the geocacher who is first to find this cache.
The cache is hidden at the most westerly point of Syros beyond the village of Finikas (Φοίνικας). Two kilometres past the the village, the surfaced road becomes a level-surfaced dirt track leading to a large flat area for parking and the start of the trail head. The trail from the parking area is downhill along a good path, turning south along the headland. The last section of the walk needs to be taken carefully as the path disappears, but it is not too tricky, even wearing sandals. The view from the trail is spectacular and is especially enjoyable in the late afternoon when the sun is a couple of hours from setting. The cache itself is placed in a dramatic, rugged, and isolated spot which was very enjoyable on a windy day with the waves crashing on the rocks below. After placing the cache, the walk back up to the parking area took me 18 minutes.
