Geocache Description:

This cache is a small plastic container with clip-locks at each edge.  It contains a geocaching declaration in both Greek and English and a small logbook.  Please bring your own pen or pencil for signing.  There is space in the container for some small trading items and trackables; at the time of placing the cache contains a complex origami model for the geocacher who is first to find this cache.

The cache is hidden at the easternmost point of Syros in the area called Tripa (Τρύπα), not far the village of Azolimnos (Αζόλιμνος).  On the southern edge of the village, the surfaced road comes to a car park by the soccer ground where I would recommend leaving your vehicle and going the rest of the way on foot; the cache is a 15 minute walk away.  If you want to drive along the dirt track, please be careful; the track is of decent quality and wide enough for a car, but the initial section is narrow as it skirts the edge of the coast and I personally would find it a bit too scary to drive along.

There are some nice views from the path, and a few quiet beaches nearby which you are likely to find unoccupied. The cache itself is placed on the edge of what is called Cape Fokia, after the greek word for seals; mediterranean seals can be seen along the south coast of Syros, usually in winter.
