Geocache Description:

The Treaty Stone is an irregular block of limestone which was previously used as a pedestal for mounting horse pillions. This stone is now displayed on a pedestal in Limerick.
The stone's name relates to the Treaty of Limerick (Irish: Conradh Luimnigh). The treaty ended the Williamite War in Ireland between the Jacobites and the supporters of William of Orange and concluded the Siege of Limerick. The treaty really consisted of two treaties, both of which were signed on 3 October 1691 on the stone.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock, composed mainly of fragments of marine organisms' skeleton such as coral and molluscs. Its major chemical component is calcium carbonate (CaCO3).
Limestone may be crystalline, clastic, granular, or massive, depending on the method of formation.

To log the earthcache as found you have to answer the following questions. Send an email or a message to the owner.
1) Describe the surface of the stone (smooth or rough).
2) Evaluate the sizes of the stone (in cm).
3) Is the rock of the stone and the pedestal of the same kind? Why do you think so?
