Chad, officially the Republic of Chad, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west. It is the fifth largest country in Africa in terms of area.
While visiting the area I was able to discover that there was only one Geocache in the country of Chad. After getting the assistance of two great friends (JT and Holly) we were able to locate said Geocache and then we had wished that there were many more to find. The three of us have visited a famous location quite often and thought that this location would be ideal for another Geocache. The best part about this Geocache is that you are well protected from the dangers of animal life even when the name suggest otherwise.
Hippo Quest is a great way to assist any Geocacher along the way that would like to see wildlife from a safe distance. The location is surrounded by a fence and has plenty of security. While visiting the grounds you can stop into the Hilton Hotel and have some lunch and or a coffee with some of the finest people around. I recommend the Fish and Chips for a lite meal however if you are really hungry do get the Hamburger with Bacon and Onion Rings. Stay to the path while walking in the gardens towards the Geocache and remember to have fun.
