1967:
"Slow
- slow - quick - quick" Fritz Römer commanded us dance
students in his 'Dance School Fritz Römer & Frau' in
Wetzlar. You had to go through that if you wanted to enjoy afterwards
holding your dance partner in your arms while playing the blues of
'Sound of Silence'.
1968:
School
trip to Amsterdam and The Hague. That's where I first heard 'Mrs.
Robinson' in the cinema. With the original version of 'The Graduate'
with Dutch subtitles I was mostly left with the atmosphere. I wasn't
fit enough with my English skills to understand every dialogue. But
Anne Bancroft was a gorgeous Mrs. Robinson and Dustin Hoffman was a
brilliantly acted graduate. The film music of Simon & Garfunkel?
Fits!
