Geocache Description:


Go to trail head coords and follow the small red trail signs with black arrows. The actual name of this natural area is “Pease Mountain Natural area” (See picture). It is such a peaceful area that I changed it to “Peace Mountain” for the cache name. The mountain was donated to the university of VT by George L. Pease. Here is some info on the mountain: http://www.ncfcnfr.net/database/forests/forestdetails.asp?Forest_ID=61 It is protected with the assistance of the Nature Conservancy. The mountain has an amazing variety of soft and hard wood trees. It also has a fantastic panoramic view. This has a 3.5 star terrain difficulty rating due to the distance from parking. It is a nice gradual elevation type trail. The container is a medium sized lock & lock.
