Brother's Hammock Traditional Cache

One of my favorite places on October Mtn. You may have to be creative getting to a trail from East New Lenox Rd (sometimes I'm able to park at the church if the gate is open and even if it's open you should park outside the gate or you may get locked in) or you may have to park at Sackett Brook Park/Kirvin Park.
When we were teenagers we used to come up here to play "manhunt" (a variation of capture the flag). After a day of play we would camp out atop the cliffs. Brother Mike had bought himself a hammock and slept out high in these trees for fear of being eaten by coyotes. You'll probably see lots of wildlife signs around this area. Crows nest in the cliffs, deer rub the trees, porcupine leave their scat, and so forth. If you're a climber there are some great routes on these rocks. The cache contains a logbook only. Bring your own pen.
CONGRATULATIONS TO REDSOX61 ON FTF!
