Kurityán village lies on the confines of the Borsod hills on the right side of the Stream Szuha. Sources mention the village as far back as 1280, and the name can be originated from the Slavonic language. The Gothic Monastery was built in the 1420's, which was named after Saint John and used to belong to the Order of the Hermits of St. Paul. The monastery was a huge cultural center until 1550. In the XVIIIth century the majority of the village's area passed into the Pallavicini's hand. The Pallavicini castle kepps the memory of the family still.
The cache is located in the monastery ruins, in the wall, camouflaged with some stones.
