Geocache Description:

Access:

When coming from road 10, from the direction of Pest, pass the
railway-crossing at Nyergesújfalu and turn left in front of the Plus store,
and then proceed until you reach the lakes. You can go up to the hilltop at
the second football ground on a trodden path in about 10 minutes.

Place of the box:

The kitchen box of 20 cm x 15 cm x 6 cm dimensions is hidden in a bush on
the hillside.

Story of the box:

I intend to dedicate this 'hiding' to the memory of the brick-works factory
that had operated in the old days at Nyergesújfalu, as well as to the
stone-cutter dynasties of Nyergesújfalu, who have all been in close contact
with the so called 'stone land' in the neighbourhoods of Gerecse.

Well-known stone-cutter families have left their mark upon the town; they
have produced numerous memorials and articles for personal use even up to
these days.

There were plenty of minor and major pits in the township of Nyergesújfalu,
like the clay-fields of the Hoffmann brick-works factory in Nyerges.
Nowadays these clay-fields serve as fishing lakes abounding in fishes, in a
beautiful setting for lovers of sports. The factory was pulled down in
1969, during enlargement of Viscosa factory.

The box is waiting to be discovered on the so called mountain Búzás, which
towers over the sport grounds and fishing lakes.

I suggest approaching the box from the direction of the grounds, after
having parked your car by the lakes. The slope you can take to get to the
hilltop is a little bit sheer. You must be cautious in winter as it can be
sloppy.

The box itself is a traditional kitchen case, which lurks under a bush.
