Parking is along Main Street (Route 123). The trailhead is
on the far side of an open field adjacent to the road. The
woods are mostly pine & beech, with ferns on the forest floor;
the paths are clear & easy to walk. The Black Pond brook
winds through the area.
The stone wall is not taller or wider than average, but is
composed of much larger stones than expected for an ordinary field
boundary. The builder must have deliberately picked the
bigger rocks for some long forgotten aesthetic emphasis.
Also in the forest are 3 older caches;
Swamped Down in the Fogg by manometchapterchief04,
Fogg Forest, by PETTECH and SissyAnn, and a night cache.
Twinkling in the Fogg, by SissyAnn & Pettech.
