[ENG] The story of how the old Juminda chapel and the new church were built is told in the song sheet printed for the 50th birthday of Leesi church.
According to the tale, the first chapel stood on the tip of Cape Juminda and ships rarely passed without the sailors coming to the hill, thanking God in the chapel and placing their gifts in the collection box. It is not known when the chapel was built, but it was already so old by 1678 that a new chapel had to be built. (]visit link)
This cache leads you to the bell tower, that marks the location of the old chapel. Leave your car to the coordinates N59° 38,306’ E25° 30,414’ and walk the sandy path between two households, towards the sea. You will find the cache next to the big stone, that is united with stone fence. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MOVE THE STONES!

Pääsenud meremeeste poolt rajatud kabel seisis Juminda neeme otsas praeguse piirivalvekordioni territooriumil. Vana kabeli asemele ehitati 1678.a. Juminda külasse uus pühakoda, mis tegutses aastani 1867. Selle kunagises asukohas paiknev kellatorn pühitseti 2000.a. jaanipäeval ja just sinna aare Sind juhatabki. Ühel suurtest kividest olev aastaarv 1290 põlistab Juminda esmamainimist, kuupäev 28. august 1993 ja viisnurk tähistavad Nõukogude armee Jumindalt lahkumise aega. Hiljem sai Juminda uue kabeli järglaseks praegugi tegutsev Leesi kabel, selle ümber kujunes uus kalmistugi.
Auto jäta siia (N59° 38,306’ E25° 30,414’) ja kulge kahe talu vahelt mööda liivarada mere suunas. Aarde leiad kiviaiaga liituva suure kivi kõrvalt. KIVE LIIGUTADA EI OLE VAJA!
