Geocache Description:

Kes je umistena pobliz konce koleji zrusene trati Krimov –
Reitzenhain v krusnohori nedaleko nadrazi Krimov, odbocky z trati
na Vejprty. The cache is hidden close to end of the rails of the
former railway in Ore Mountains, not far from the Krimov railway
station.

Jednokolejna zeleznicni trat Krimov – Reitzenhain (s pokracovanim do Marienbergu) byla zprovoznena v roce 1875 a provozovana do roku 1948.
Pozdeji byla vyuzivana jako vlecka a v letech 1972 – 1987 uplne zrusena, vcetne sneseni koleji, demolic mostu a vytrhani prazcu (podrobny popis muzete najit v dile J.Kadlece vydanem Oblastnim muzeem Chomutov v roce 2005 a dalsi zajimavosti na strankach www.zeleznice.vanovi.net).
Nyni je vetsina trati zarostla a jen torza staveb teskne pripominaji toto technicke dilo. Tato kes je prvni ze serie /Marienberg - Krimov, podel niz vas postupne provede:

Kes je pomerne jednoducha, je ale umistena pobliz trati, na ktere cas od casu (tak 8x za vikend) projizdeji vlaky - davejte na sebe, na sve deti, psy atd., pozor.
Kes je mensi krabicka.

The one track railway Krimov – Reitzenhain (continuing to Marienberg in Saxonia) was open in 1875 and closed for traffic in 1948. It was used as siding track later. This railway was completely destroyed between 1972 – 1987 (details you can find in the book by J.Kadlec – in Czech, 2005 and other interestingness at www.zeleznice.vanovi.net). The most of the track is overgrown, and only sad fragments of former construction remind this engineering work, now.
This cache is the first of series /Marienberg - Krimov that will company you along it.
