Geocache Description:

This cache is accessed by walking along the fire road. There AT is close by, but this cache would require an extreme amount of bushwacking from the AT to get to it. I don't recommend doing that. It is 350 feet +/- from the AT, and 50 +/- feet from the fire road

The trip up the hill may seem like a burden, but trust me the Scary Tree is worth it.

The Scary Tree has been known to eat small animals and create havoc throughout the forest. Be careful. Pay hommage to the tree, get the cache, sign the log and replace the cache. Be quick before the tree gets you too, it is not picky about its prey.

Trust me, in nature some of the most intriguing things are the most dangerous.
