ENG: Tallinna Linnuvabrik was founded in 1965. There was real touble of finding the right people for the work, because there was no commercial poultry production experience in Estonia. The help came from Leningrad`s poultry factory. 12 people from Tallinn were sent there for education.On the firt year the Tallinna Linnuvabrik produced only 24000 eggs and 7,4 tons of chicken meat. In 1965 more than 12 million eggs were produced. And because of increasing demand for chicken meat and eggs the company began to produce at least 40 million eggs a year. 1991 has been the biggest production year so far, they produced 211 million eggs and 1891 tons of chicken meat.

EST: Tallinna Linnuvabrik alustas tegevust juba 1956.aastal. Kuna Eesti linnukasvatajatel puudusid kanamunade ja linnuliha tööstusliku tootmise kogemused, tegi tõsist muret personali komplekteerimine. Selles osas oli abiks Leningradi Linnuvabrik, kuhu suunati väljaõppele 12 tulevast linnukasvatajat. Esimesel aastal toodeti ainult 24 000 muna ja 7,4 tonni linnuliha.
1957.aastal peeti viies kanalas 11 500 kana, saadi 1,148 miljonit muna ja 32,3 tonni linnuliha. Töötajate arv oli kasvanud 88-ni. 1965.aastal toodeti siin üle 12 miljoni muna. Kuna nõudmine munade ja kanaliha järele üha kasvas, alustati ettevõtte laiendamist, et toota aastas vähemalt 40 miljonit muna. 1968.aastaks oli eesmärk saavutatud: toodeti 42,2 miljonit muna.
1982.aasta 1.novembril liideti Tallinna Linnuvabrikuga Kostivere sovhoos, moodustus Tallinna Näidislinnuvabriksovhoos (TNLV). 1991.aasta on Linnuvabriku suurima toodangu aasta - toodeti 211 miljonit muna ja 1891 tonni liha. 1993.aasta 1.märtsil asutati AS Tallegg. Allikas www.tallegg.ee
