Difficulty level 2.5 because the GPS jumped around a little out here.
Terrain level 3.5 because it's a short hike to reach it, including a steep climb up a large hill and the trails are sometimes muddy!
Parking can be found at the Visual Arts Center on the Johnson State College campus. Just park in one of the visitor spots. The trail entrance is right across the road.
This cache will lead you on a nice walk along the Johnson State College trail network. The name pays respect to the college's gruff yet quirky mascot, the Badger! At this time, the cache only contains a logbook and some small trade items. But who knows! A badger might show up in there before long!
It is an ammo can hidden about 100 feet off of the main trail. The hiding place should be fairly obvious once you reach it.
A few words of caution: The trails get rather muddy in the spring. I've placed the cache in a relatively dry location.
I DID notice some poison ivy when placing it, so be careful, and wear long pants.
