[ENG] Grand Race Round Lake Viljandi carries the longest tradition among Estonian sports events . The idea to organize a running race around lake Viljandi was born in 1928 by a schoolteacher T. Andresson and no one could imagine it will become such a successful event. It has become the symbol of Viljandi city’s sports life and consistency.
Running and Nordic walking race around lake Viljandi is truly popular event among professional marathoners as well as among amateur runners and walkers. It is the opening race for the spring season. Throughout it´s history all the best runners in Estonia have participated and enjoyed the race. It is said your career is rather meaningless without winning the grand prix of Viljandi’s race. Further more, the winner’s name is cut into stone every year!
The path around the lake is changeful and the landscape delightful. It is competitors’s challenge to find their own best available path. So the race is always looked forwarded to. The record of the race, 34:50:0 , belongs to Pavel Loskutov since 2008. It is also notable, that two men - Einart Alus ja Benno Viirandi have participated in the race 51 times

To find the cache you´ll have to go to the given coordinates , to the statue and look towards the stadion. There you can see stone posts, where you´ll find the missing numbers for the next point´s coordinates. The distance between two points is more than 2 km-s and lenght of total track is about 15 km-s.

[EST] Suurjooks Ümber Viljandi Järve on vanim Eestis korraldatav traditsiooniline jooksuüritus, mis sai alguse 1928.a. Jooks kuulub Eesti Järvejooksude Sarja ja on nimetatud sarja 1. osavõistluseks. Sellest on saanud Viljandimaa spordielu suursündmus ja spordielu järjepidevuse sümbol. Jooks on võitnud kindla koha Eesti spordikalendris ja on väga populaarne jooksusõprade hulgas, kuhu alati koguneb Eesti jooksuparemik.Järvejooks on vaheldusrikas ja emotsionaalne. Võistlejail tuleb läbida ring ümber järve, valides ise sobiv tee.See on sportlik kokkupuude kevadise loodusega, see on võistlus,mida alati oodatakse. See on ainulaadne võistlus, kus võitja nimi raiutakse kivisse. Jooksu rekord 34:50:0 kuulub Pavel Loskutovile aastast 2008 Tähelepanuväärne on ka see, et 2 meest –Einart Alus ja Benno Viirandi on osalenud 51 korda ümber Viljandi järve jooksul.
Aarde otsimise alustamiseks tuleb minna kuju juurde ehk siis nulli ja vaadata staadioni poole.Seal näete kividest poste,kust saate puudu olevad numbrid järgmise punkti koordinaatide jaoks.Kahe vahepunkti vahe on üle 2 km ja kogu raja pikkus jääb nii 15 km kanti.
